Layered Mixed Vegetable Salad
Layered Mixed Vegetable Salad is an moderately easy salad you can prepare in about 1 hour 32 minutes. Made with lettuce, torn into bite size pieces, c. chopped green or red onions, c. (1 stalk) chopped celery, c. (1 small) chopped green pepper and (10 oz.) pkg. frozen peas, thawed and drained, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. In a large clear bowl, layer lettuce and onions.
Spoon 1/2 cup Ranch dressing evenly over top.
Layer celery, green pepper and peas.
Spread remaining salad dressing over top.
Sprinkle sugar, cheese and bacon on top.
Cover and refrigerate at least 8 hours.
Add water chestnuts.
Toss before serving.
Makes 10 to 12 servings.
