Layered Green Salad
Layered Green Salad is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1 head lettuce, 1 c. green or red peppers, 1 pkg. frozen peas (uncooked), 1 c. mayonnaise and 4 oz. grated cheese, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. A crowd-pleaser that never disappoints.
Place torn or chopped lettuce as the first layer in a 9 x 13-inch baking dish.
Layer all ingredients, then add celery, peppers, onions and frozen peas.
Mix mayonnaise and sugar; spread over top of peas.
Sprinkle with cheese and bacon bits (bacon should be fried crisp in order to break up into small pieces or bits).
Refrigerate for 8 to 12 hours.
(You may hold bacon bits until serving time in order to be crisp.)
