Layer Fruit Cake
Layer Fruit Cake is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1 c. butter or margarine, 4 eggs, 2 c. sugar, 1 c. milk plus juice from cherries and 3 c. flour, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. An easy weeknight meal that comes together quickly.

Cream sugar and butter; add egg yolks (beaten), then add milk and juice, flour and baking powder.
Beat egg whites stiff and fold in last.
Divide into 2 parts.
To one part, add 2 cups nuts and two 8 ounce packages of cherries.
To the other part, add 1 teaspoon of allspice, 1 box dates (chopped) and 8 ounces of raisins.
Bake in layer pans (4).
Put together alternate layers with filling.
