Lawrence's Sugar Nuts
Lawrence'S Sugar Nuts is an easy dinner. Made with 1 c. brown sugar, firmly packed, 1/2 c. white sugar, 1/2 c. dairy sour cream, 1 tsp. vanilla and 2 c. walnut halves or large pieces, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Simple to make and full of bold, satisfying flavors.

Combine both sugars and sour cream in a medium saucepan.
Cook over medium heat, stirring, until sugar is dissolved.
Continue cooking, without stirring, until temperature reaches 238Β° or until a little dropped in cold water forms a soft ball.
Remove from heat.
Add vanilla and nuts.
Stir gently until all nuts are coated.
Turn onto wax paper.
With a fork, separate the nuts. Let dry.
Makes about 1 pound.
