Lasagna
Lasagna is an impressive dinner. Made with 3 small onions, chopped, 2 garlic cloves, chopped, 2 tbsp. butter, 1 lb. beef, chopped and 4 oz. red wine, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. A crowd-pleaser that never disappoints.
In heavy saucepan, cook onions and garlic in butter and olive oil.
When limp (not brown), add beef and cook, stirring frequently until well done.
Add wine; cover tightly and steam for 5 minutes.
Add basil, tomato paste, purée and juice.
Add green pepper, celery, black pepper to taste and nutmeg and cook for 10 minutes.
Boil lasagna in water for 15 minutes.
Put in cold water, then drain.
