Cook beef, onion and garlic until meat is browned and onion is tender.
Drain off excess fat.
Mix tomatoes and tomato sauce in blender and add to meat mixture.
Stir in 1 1/2 tablespoons parsley flakes, the sugar and 1 teaspoon salt.
Simmer, uncovered, 1 hour or until mixture is as thick as spaghetti sauce.
