Lamb Cake
Lamb Cake is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1 c. butter, 5 eggs, well beaten, 1/4 tsp. salt, 1/2 tsp. baking powder and 1 c. sugar, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Ideal for meal prep and leftovers taste even better.
Cream the butter. Add sugar. Add eggs.
Beat on high speed 3 minutes. Sift, measure and sift flour, salt, mace and baking powder together. Sift again. Add dry ingredients to creamed mixture in 3 installments.
Beat 1 minute after each addition. Add lemon juice. Beat 1/2 minute.
Pour into bottom and face of lamb. Place on cookie sheet in oven at 325Β° for 1 hour.
Remove from oven.
Lift lid off.
Usually done at this point.
