In eggs and vanilla. Sift dry ingredients; alternately with beer to egg mixture. Stir in kraut.
Turn into 2 greased and floured 8-inch pans. Bake oven for 40 minutes or cake tests done. Cool on racks, then frost with chocolate or vanilla icing.
If preferred, bake in tube pan for 60 minutes.
