Key Lime Cake
Key Lime Cake is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 3/4 c. cooking oil, 3/4 c. orange juice, 5 eggs (whole), 1 (3 oz.) pkg. lime-flavored gelatin and 1 (18 1/2 oz.) pkg. duncan hines lemon supreme cake mix, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Ideal for meal prep and leftovers taste even better.
Combine the oil, orange juice, eggs, gelatin and the cake mix and blend well.
Pour the batter into a 9 x 13-inch pan and bake at 325Β° for 20 to 25 minutes.
Do not overcook.
Remove the cake from the oven and while it is still warm, prick the top of it all over with a fork.
Combine the lime juice and the confectioners sugar and drizzle the mixture over the cake.
(This mixture should be thin so as to penetrate the cake.)
Cut the cake into squares to serve.
