Kentucky Pound Cake
Kentucky Pound Cake is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 2 1/2 c. self-rising flour, 2 c. sugar, 1 1/2 c. vegetable oil, 4 eggs, divided and 1 1/2 tsp. cinnamon, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. A comforting dish that warms the soul.
Mix together flour, sugar and oil well.
To this mixture, add egg yolks, cinnamon, water, pineapple and nuts.
Blend well.
Add egg whites and blend.
Grease and flour tube pan and bake at 325Β° for 1 hour and 10 minutes.
After removing cake from pan, mix pineapple juice and 2 tablespoons brown sugar.
Spoon over hot cake.
