Kase Kneple(Mock Cheese Buttons) is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1 large pkg. butterfly noodles, 1 pt. creamy cottage cheese, 1 c. sour cream, 1 c. half and half and 4 or 5 green onions, chopped (tops and all), this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Cook noodles per package directions; drain.
Mix cottage cheese, sour cream, half and half, salt and pepper and part of the onions.
Alternate this mixture with noodles in a 9 x 13-inch casserole.
Sprinkle croutons on top.
Bake at 350Β° for 30 minutes.
Just before it is finished baking, add the remaining green onions.
