Karen's Untossed Salad
Karen'S Untossed Salad is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1 head lettuce, 1/2 pkg. spinach or romaine lettuce (leaf lettuce or more head of lettuce will do)*, 1/2 lb. bacon, fried crisp, 1 purple onion and 6 chopped hard-cooked eggs, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Packed with nutrients and delicious flavors.
Wash and cut spinach/romaine lettuce into bite size pieces.
Press onto bottom of large flat bottom bowl.
Season with 1 teaspoon each salt, sugar and pepper.
Crumble crispy bacon over top.
Chop eggs and spread over top.
Add head lettuce in bite sized pieces.
Drain thawed frozen peas and spread on top.
Slice onion into rings or chop onion into not too small pieces and layer over peas.
Top with remaining salt, sugar and pepper.
Mix Miracle Whip and sour cream.
Spread over top.
Top with grated Swiss cheese.
Cover and refrigerate for 1 day before serving.
