Jumbo Raisin Cookies
Jumbo Raisin Cookies is an impressive dinner. Made with 1 c. water, 2 c. raisins, 1 c. shortening, 2 c. sugar and 3 eggs, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. A crowd-pleaser that never disappoints.
Add the water to the raisins; bring to boil for 3 minutes. Let cool.
Cream the shortening and sugar.
Add the eggs; beat well.
Add the vanilla and cooled raisins with juice.
Sift together the flour, baking powder, soda, salt, nutmeg and cinnamon; add to creamed mixture and blend.
Add the chopped nuts. Drop by spoons onto cookie sheet and bake at 350Β° for 12 minutes.
