Jo Sims' Rolls
Jo Sims' Rolls is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1 c. hot water, 1 tsp. salt, 6 tbsp. lard (crisco), 1/4 c. sugar and 1 pkg. yeast, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. A classic recipe that has been enjoyed for generations.
π¨βπ³ Instructions
Combine water, salt, lard and sugar.
Cool to lukewarm.
Add to yeast dissolved in water.
Add egg and half of flour.
Beat well. Stir in rest of flour.
(I use 1/2 cup of flour to knead the dough.)
Cover and let rise until double in bulk; punch down and put in refrigerator and let rise again.
