Jane's Cheddar Crisps
Jane'S Cheddar Crisps is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 2 sticks butter, softened, 1/2 lb. sharp cheddar cheese, grated, 2 c. all-purpose flour, 1 1/2 tsp. salt or to taste and 1/2 tsp. cayenne, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. A crowd-pleaser that never disappoints.

With mixer cream butter and Cheddar cheese and beat until light and fluffy.
Add flour, little at a time, beating and adding salt and cayenne.
Beat well.
Add cereal and beat until it is just combined.
Form heaping teaspoonfuls into balls.
Arrange 2 inches apart on buttered baking sheet.
Flatten with floured fork. Bake in middle of preheated oven 15 minutes or until golden. Makes about 55 cookies.
Keeps in airtight container 1 week.
