Cream butter, sugar and eggs.
Add jam.
Combine flour, spices, salt, raisins and nuts.
Dissolve soda in milk.
Pour in buttered tube pan and cook at 300Β° for about 1 1/2 hours or longer.
Pour peach juice or any fruit juice over cake.
Ice with caramel icing (recipe in this book).
