Jam Cake

Cream butter and sugar.
Beat in egg yolks and whites.
Stir in jam.
Re-sift flour with other dry ingredients.
Add flour in about three parts alternately with sour cream.
Beat batter after each addition until well blended.
Bake cake in two greased 9-inch layer pans or 9-inch tube pan in moderate 350Β° oven for 25 to 30 minutes.
