Mix cornmeal, flour, salt and soda; add buttermilk, oil, eggs and corn.
Beat and mix well.
Stir in jalapeños and onions. Grease 9 x 13-inch baking dish.
Heat well, pour in half of batter; sprinkle with half of cheese, repeat.
Bake at 350° for 50 to 55 minutes or untildone.
