Italian Spaghetti Sauce
Italian Spaghetti Sauce is an impressive dinner. Made with 1 lb. hamburger, 4 (16 oz.) cans stewed tomatoes (with celery, green pepper, onion, etc.), 4 (5 oz.) cans tomato paste, 1 (4 oz.) can mushrooms, drained and 1/3 c. diced (chopped) onion, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. In 5-quart pot, fry hamburger, onion, salt and pepper just until there is no pink.
Drain.
Add remaining ingredients. Simmer at least 2 hours, stirring as necessary.
Add any additional spices to taste while simmering.
Makes 4 quarts of sauce.
