Italian Sausage Spaghetti Sauce
Italian Sausage Spaghetti Sauce is an impressive dinner. Made with 1 tbsp. olive oil, 1 clove garlic, chopped, 1 1/2 lb. italian sweet sausage, casing removed, 1 (28 oz.) can whole tomatoes, pureed in blender and 1 (8 oz.) can tomato sauce, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Great for entertaining guests or a cozy night in.
In large Dutch oven, lightly brown garlic in oil.
Add sausage; brown.
Drain fat, remove sausages from oven and set aside.
Add paste to drippings; cook 5 to 7 minutes, stirring constantly.
Add pureed tomatoes and sauce; cook over medium heat for 15 minutes, stirring occasionally.
Return sausages to pan; add remaining ingredients except cheeses.
Simmer 15 minutes.
Add the sharp Cheddar.
