Italian Sausage Bean Casserole
Italian Sausage Bean Casserole is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1 (20 oz.) can white kidney beans, drained, 1 (20 oz.) can red kidney beans, drained, 2 (15 oz.) cans butter lima beans, drained, 1 small can tomato paste and 1 lb. italian sausage, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Cut sausage in bite size pieces and brown in frying pan.
Brown onion in sausage juice.
Add tomato paste and 1 or more cans of water, salt, pepper, a little oregano, 1/2 teaspoon dry mustard and 1 tablespoon brown sugar.
Simmer about 10 minutes.
Add drained beans and browned sausage.
Mix well.
Spoon into casserole or oblong baking dish.
Bake 45 to 60 minutes uncovered at 350Β°.
This recipe may be prepared the night before and baked the next day.
