Italian Meat Casserole
Italian Meat Casserole is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 4 c. cooked elbow macaroni, 1/4 c. butter, 2 medium onions, chopped, 1 lb. ground beef and 1 tsp. salt, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Perfect for family dinners and special occasions.

Cook macaroni until tender.
Melt 1/4 cup of butter in skillet; saute onions and beef with seasonings until meat is brown, stirring often with fork.
Add 1 1/3 cups of cheese to meat mixture; stir until melted.
Remove from heat.
Mix 2 tablespoons of butter with macaroni.
Add meat mixture, 1 1/2 cans tomato sauce and mushrooms and mix well.
Pour into a 2-quart casserole.
Top with remaining tomato sauce and cheese.
Bake at 325Β° for 30 minutes.
