Italian Macaroni Pie
Italian Macaroni Pie is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1 (7 oz.) pkg. creamettes elbow macaroni, 1 lb. ground beef, 1/4 c. sliced celery, 1 (15 oz.) jar spaghetti sauce and 1 (4.5 oz.) jar sliced mushrooms, drained, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Heat oven to 350°.
Grease a 10-inch pie pan or 9-inch square pan.
Prepare macaroni according to package.
Drain.
In a large skillet, brown beef with celery and drain.
Stir in spaghetti sauce and mushrooms.
Simmer 15 minutes.
In a large bowl, combine macaroni, eggs, cheese and garlic.
Toss lightly.
Place in prepared pan.
Press evenly in bottom and up sides, forming a crust.
Pour meat mixture over macaroni crust.
Cover with foil. Bake at 350° for 25 to 30 minutes.
Remove foil.
Let stand 5 minutes before cutting.
Sprinkle with Parmesan cheese.
