Italian Hot Sauce is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 2 onions, chopped, 3 large cans mushrooms (with liquid), olive oil, ortega peppers (fresh) and salt to tate, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. A crowd-pleaser that never disappoints.

Brown onions in olive oil. Add mushrooms. Add cut up Ortega peppers and simmer.
Next, add salt to taste and one large can tomato paste. Simmer slowly about 1 hour. Makes a large batch and freezes well.
