Soften cream cheese with 1/2 cup milk; mix well until well blended and smooth.
Add instant pudding and remaining
1 cup milk.
Beat slowly 1 to 2 minutes, scraping sides of bowl.
Spread mixture over top of cooled cake (in pan).
Sprinkle well drained pineapple on top of pudding mixture.
Top with Cool Whip; spread evenly to cover.
Keep chilled.
