Italian Casserole
Italian Casserole is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 8 oz. small uncooked noodles, 1 tbsp. butter, 1 lb. ground beef, 2 (8 oz.) cans tomato sauce and 1 c. creamed cottage cheese, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Simple to make and full of bold, satisfying flavors.
Cook noodles and drain.
Saute meat in 1 tablespoon butter until browned.
Stir in tomato sauce.
Season with salt and pepper.
Remove from heat and set aside.
In a bowl, combine cottage cheese, cream cheese, sour cream, green onions and green pepper.
Spread half of the noodles in a 2-quart casserole.
Cover with cheese mixture.
Add remaining noodles.
Pour 2 tablespoons melted butter over noodles.
Spread meat mixture over all.
Bake, covered, in 350Β° oven for 30 minutes.
Casserole may be prepared early, refrigerated and baked just before serving.
