Irish Coffee
Irish Coffee is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1 c. chilled whipping cream, 1/4 c. confectioners sugar, 1 tsp. vanilla, 3/4 c. ground coffee and 4 tsp. powdered instant coffee, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. An easy weeknight meal that comes together quickly.
In chilled bowl, beat cream, confectioners sugar and vanilla until stiff.
Refrigerate.
Prepare coffee, using 3/4 cup ground coffee and water.
Heat mugs by rinsing with boiling water; drain. Add 1 ounce (2 tablespoons) whiskey and 1 to 2 teaspoons granulated sugar to each mug.
Pour hot coffee into each mug.
Top with the whipped cream; sprinkle with 1 teaspoon instant coffee over the cream.
Serve immediately.
Makes 4 servings (3/4 cup each).
