Individual Pineapple Upside-Down Cakes
Individual Pineapple Upside-Down Cakes is an easy dinner. Made with 1 cube butter or margarine, 1 1/4 c. brown sugar and 1 pineapple or yellow cake mix, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. A comforting dish that warms the soul.
Melt together in skillet until bubbly the first 2 ingredients. Mix cake mix according to package directions.
Cover the bottom of a tuna can with 1 tablespoon of the brown sugar mixture. Place a pineapple slice on top of brown sugar, then place a maraschino cherry in the middle of the pineapple. A few walnuts can be placed around for added taste. Pour 1/2 cup of cake batter on top of pineapple. Bake in 350Β° oven 15 to 20 minutes; turn upside down on cookie sheet to cool. Makes 12 to 15 cakes.
