Icebox Rolls
Icebox Rolls is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1 c. boiling water, 1 c. shortening, 1 c. sugar, 1 1/2 tsp. salt and 2 eggs, beaten, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. A classic recipe that has been enjoyed for generations.
Pour boiling water over shortening.
Add sugar and salt; cool. Add eggs. Soak yeast in cold water 5 minutes and add to mixture. Add flour and blend well.
Set in refrigerator.
Make into rolls by pinching small bits of dough and rolling into a ball, 3 to each muffin tin for cloverleaf.
Let raise 1 to 2 hours before baking. Bake at 350Β° for 20 minutes.
