Hushpuppies
Hushpuppies is an easy dinner. Made with 1 large egg, well beaten, 1 c. buttermilk, 1 medium onion, chopped fine, 1 1/2 c. self-rising cornmeal mix and 1/2 c. self-rising flour, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Great for entertaining guests or a cozy night in.

Mix together all ingredients just before the hushpuppies are to be cooked.
Drop by tablespoonful into 350Β° oil.
As long as they are not touching, hushpuppies will turn over by themselves. If they need help, flip with a spoon once, and drain on paper.
