Hush Puppies is an easy dinner. Made with 2 c. self-rising cornmeal, 2 tbsp. self-rising flour, 1/2 tsp. soda, 1 egg, beaten and 1 c. buttermilk, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. An easy weeknight meal that comes together quickly.

Mix measured cornmeal, flour and soda together.
Add buttermilk and mix; blend in beaten egg, drop by spoonfuls into skillet or pan in which fish is being fried.
Fry until well browned.
Drain on paper and serve with fish.
