Hu Nang Shrimp
Hu Nang Shrimp is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1 lb. medium size shrimp (31 to 35), 1 onion, 1 (8 oz.) can tomato sauce, 3 tsp. sugar and 2 tsp. white wine, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. A comforting dish that warms the soul.
Peel shrimp.
Add wine, water, cornstarch and salt.
Mix with shrimp.
Chop onion.
Turn to high heat.
Heat vegetable oil and add shrimp.
Saute until shrimp changes color.
Check both sides of shrimp (about 3 minutes).
Remove shrimp.
Saute onions 1 minute.
Add shrimp, sugar and the tomato sauce.
Remove and stir 1 minute.
Serve.
