Hot Spiced Cider
Hot Spiced Cider is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 2 (4-inch) sticks cinnamon, 1/2 tsp. whole allspice, 1/2 tsp. whole cloves, 1 qt. apple cider and 1 qt. unsweetened pineapple juice, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Simple to make and full of bold, satisfying flavors.
Tie cinnamon sticks, allspice and cloves in a cheesecloth bag. Combine spices, cider, pineapple juice and sugar in a Dutch oven; bring to a boil.
Reduce heat and simmer 15 minutes.
Add lemon juice; cook over low heat 10 minutes or just until heated.
Remove spice bag.
Pour into cups and garnish each with a cinnamon stick. Yields 11 cups.
