Hot Salsa
Hot Salsa is an moderately easy dinner. Made with whole tomatoes, 1/2 onion, cut in quarters, salt to taste, 1/4 c. sugar and hot chili peppers, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Ideal for meal prep and leftovers taste even better.

Place whole tomatoes, onion, salt, sugar and at least 3 hot peppers in a blender and chop well.
Pour mixture into a large saucepan.
Add tomato purée.
Simmer on stove for several hours or until desired thickness, stirring occasionally.
Pour into hot pint jars.
A whole hot pepper can be added for extra flavoring to pint jar before sealing.
Place in hot water bath for 10 minutes. Will keep on shelf for years.
