Hot Rolls
Hot Rolls is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1 c. mashed potatoes, 1/2 c. shortening or oil, 1 1/4 tsp. salt, 1 c. milk and 1/2 c. sugar, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. An easy weeknight meal that comes together quickly.
Bring oil, sugar and milk to scald.
Let cool.
Dissolve yeast cakes in potato water.
Add eggs.
To mixture flour, salt to liquid in bowl.
Add 2 cups of the flour at a time, using dough hooks.
Mix well.
If all of the flour is not used, put it on the board and work into dough.
Bake at 275Β° for 20 to 25 minutes. Yields 2 dozen rolls.
