Hot Rolls
Hot Rolls is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 2 c. lukewarm water, 1/3 c. sugar, 2 tbsp. shortening, 2 pkg. dry yeast and 5 to 5 1/2 c. flour, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. A classic recipe that has been enjoyed for generations.

Dissolve yeast in water.
Add sugar and stir, then add half flour (2 1/2 cups).
Mix well.
Add shortening and salt and stir well.
Add remaining flour 1 cup at a time.
Let rise until double in size.
Pinch off and place in greased pan.
Let rise about 1 hour.
Bake at 400Β° for 15 to 20 minutes.
