Drain fruit.
Layer pineapple, apricots, peaches, apple rings and pears in glass baking dish.
Melt butter in saucepan.
Add sugar and cornstarch; mix well.
Stir in sherry gradually.

Pour over fruit.
Chill, covered, overnight.
Bake, uncovered, at 350Β° for 30 to 40 minutes.
