Hot Brown
Hot Brown is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 2 tbsp. butter or margarine, 1 tbsp. flour, 1 c. light cream or milk, 3/4 c. mild cheddar cheese, grated and pinch of grated nutmeg, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. A classic recipe that has been enjoyed for generations.

Melt butter and stir in flour, cooking 2 or 3 minutes without letting it brown.
Add the cream or milk slowly, cooking until thickened and smooth.
Stir in Cheddar cheese, nutmeg, cayenne, salt and pepper.
