Honey Beef
Honey Beef is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 12 oz. lean beef round steak, thinly sliced, 1 large red pepper, cut into thin strips, 1 c. shredded fresh spinach, 3 green onions, cut into 1/2-inch diagonal pieces and 1 medium parsnip, cut into thin strips (about 4 oz.), this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Great for entertaining guests or a cozy night in.
In large skillet over medium-high heat, cook sliced beef, red pepper, spinach, green onions and parsnip in 2 teaspoons hot oil, stirring constantly, 2 to 3 minutes until meat is brown.
Remove from skillet; keep warm.
In same skillet in remaining, 1 teaspoon oil, cook garlic and ginger 1 minute.
In small bowl, stir well soy sauce, honey, cornstarch and 2 tablespoons cold water.
Return meat and vegetable mixture to skillet.
Add soy sauce mixture. Cook 1 to 2 minutes until heated through and thickened.
