Honey Baked Apples
Honey Baked Apples is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 6 large baking or cooking apples, 3 tbsp. chopped walnuts, 3 tbsp. raisins, 1 c. water and 1/3 c. honey, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. A crowd-pleaser that never disappoints.
Core apples to within 1/2-inch of bottom.
In a cup, mix walnuts and raisins.
Fill the cored apples with the mixture and place in a baking dish.
In a small saucepan, combine the water, honey and cinnamon.
Place over medium heat and bring to a boil. Reduce heat and simmer for 5 minutes.
Remove from heat and stir in lemon juice.
Remove cinnamon and pour over apples.
Bake, uncovered, at 350Β° until apples are tender, about 45 minutes, basting occasionally.
Serves 6.
