Homemade Snicker Bars
Homemade Snicker Bars is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 2 c. milk chocolate chips, 2 tbsp. crisco shortening, 14 oz. bag kraft caramels, 5 tbsp. oleo and 2 tbsp. water, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. A comforting dish that warms the soul.
Melt 1/2 the chips and 1/2 Crisco in microwave until smooth. Add 1/2 peanuts to melted chocolate, spread nutty chocolate in a greased 8 x 8-inch pan.
Refrigerate while melting caramels, oleo and water in microwave until smooth.
Add remaining peanuts to caramel and spread over first chocolate layer.
Refrigerate while melting 1/2 the chips and 1/2 Crisco.
Spread over caramel layer. Chill until firm.
