Homemade Chocolate-Covered Cherries
Homemade Chocolate-Covered Cherries is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 2 lb. powdered sugar, 1 tsp. vanilla, 1 can cream, 1/2 stick margarine, softened and 21 oz. jar maraschino cherries, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Bursting with flavor in every bite.

Drain and freeze cherries overnight on a flat surface.
Mix sugar, vanilla, milk and margarine into a dough.
Place a cherry in a small piece of dough and roll into a ball.
Place them in freezer for 20 minutes.
Melt almond bark in double boiler.
Dip cherries in melted chocolate.
Drain excess and place on waxed paper.
Best when made about 2 weeks in advance and stored at room temperature.
The inside becomes syrupy just like those store-bought cherries.
Makes 70 pieces.
