Homemade Bisquick Mix
Homemade Bisquick Mix is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 9 c. sifted all-purpose flour, 1 1/2 c. nonfat dry milk, 1/3 c. double-acting baking powder, 1 tbsp. salt and 1 tsp. cream of tartar, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Perfect for family dinners and special occasions.
Stir baking powder, salt, cream of tartar and sugar into flour.
Sift together 3 times into large bowl.
Cut in the shortening until mixture resembles consistency of corn meal. Store in covered containers at room temperature.
To measure the Master Mix, pile into measuring cup lightly and level off.
Makes 13 cups.
