Holiday Rum Balls
Holiday Rum Balls is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1 pkg. (6 oz.) sweet chocolate bits, 3 tbsp. light corn syrup (karo white), 1/2 c. rum or other whiskey (bourbon), 1 pkg. (12 oz.) crushed vanilla wafers and 1/2 c. confectioners sugar, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. A classic recipe that has been enjoyed for generations.

Melt chocolate bits in double boiler over hot water.
Remove from heat.
Stir in corn syrup and whiskey.
Combine wafer crumbs, sugar and chopped nuts.
Add to chocolate mixture.
Mix well and let stand 30 minutes.
Form into 1-inch balls and roll in granulated or confectioners sugar.
Place in covered container and let ripen for several days.
