Hobo Bread
Hobo Bread is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 2 c. seedless raisins (dark), 2 c. boiling water, 4 tsp. baking soda, 2 c. sugar (white and brown) and 4 c. flour, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Simple to make and full of bold, satisfying flavors.
π¨βπ³ Instructions
Combine raisins, boiling water and baking soda.
Set in refrigerator overnight.
Next day, add sugar, flour, oil and walnuts.
Blend well.
Pour into greased 1 pound coffee cans; fill 1/2 to 2/3 full.
Bake at 325Β° for 1 hour.
Cool 10 minutes and remove.
Makes 3 loaves.
I use 2 bread pans.
