Hickory Nut Pie
Hickory Nut Pie is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1/4 c. butter or margarine, 1 c. king syrup, 1/2 c. sugar, 3 eggs, beaten and 1 tsp. vanilla, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Perfect for family dinners and special occasions.
Preheat oven to 350Β°.
In medium size saucepan, heat butter or margarine over low heat until melted.
Remove from heat. With whisk, beat in syrup, sugar, eggs and vanilla until blended.
Put nuts in bottom of pie shell.
Carefully pour liquid over nuts. Bake 50 to 60 minutes or until knife inserted near edge comes out clean.
Cool on rack.
