Hershey Bar Cake
Hershey Bar Cake is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1 large hershey bar, 11 oz. hershey's chocolate syrup, 1 c. shortening, 2 c. sugar and 4 eggs, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. An easy weeknight meal that comes together quickly.

Melt chocolate bar in 6 ounces chocolate syrup over very low heat.
Add remaining syrup, stirring to be sure all candy is dissolved and smooth.
Set aside to cool.
Cream shortening and sugar.
Add eggs (1 at a time), beating after each.
Add syrup mixture (it should be cool).
Add flour and buttermilk (with soda dissolved in it) alternately.
Add vanilla last.
Bake at 325Β° (tube cake pan) one hour depending upon oven; some may take longer.
Just insert toothpick to be sure of doneness.
No icing necessary.
This cake freezes very well.
