Cream together butter, sugar and salt.
Add vanilla.
Add flour to butter mixture and mix well.
Add nuts and mix well. Roll into 1-inch balls.
Bake 1 hour at 275Β°.
When slightly cooled, roll in confectioners sugar.
Roll again when cold.
