Hearty Casserole is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1 lb. hamburg, 1 large onion, sliced, 3 tbsp. flour, 3 to 4 medium potatoes and 3 carrots, sliced, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. A crowd-pleaser that never disappoints.

Make hamburg into patties and brown in margarine.
Place patties in bottom of greased casserole dish (3-quart).
Pare potatoes and cut into chunks.
Arrange vegetables in layers.
Add flour and salt to pan drippings and add 2 cups of water to make gravy.
Pour over vegetables/meat layers.
Cover and bake at 375Β° for 1 1/2 to 1 3/4 hours.
