Hawaiian Ribs
Hawaiian Ribs is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 4 lb. spareribs, cut into 1 1/2-inch strips, 3/4 c. cornstarch, 1/4 c. soy sauce, 3/4 c. vinegar and 3/4 c. pineapple juice, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Great for entertaining guests or a cozy night in.

Brown ribs in heavy frypan or Dutch oven.
Combine cornstarch, molasses and soy sauce to make a paste.
Spread paste on both sides of each piece of ribs.
Rebrown quickly in hot fat.
Combine sugar, vinegar, water and pineapple juice; heat until sugar dissolves.
Pour over ribs.
Cover; cook 25 to 30 minutes.
Add pineapple chunks and green pepper cubes; re-cover and simmer 5 minutes longer.
Makes eight servings.
